As a charity we are always looking for volunteers to help out during our activities day, or if you have skills that you can share and lead activity days, we would love to hear from you.

Any volunteer and paid vacancies required will be advertised here from now on, so stay tuned.

Social Media Specialist

Part time Volunteer position x 1, onsite and remote work

We have recently lost one of our main trustees who setup and managed all our online presence. This is an essential role as we 100% depend on social media to stay in touch with our members and post service updates to Facebook which sync to our website.

We also use social media to engage with the community of Buckingham and the surrounding areas aswell as drum up support for donations, volunteer roles, and take bookings for our activity clubs. Having a knowledge of local pages and groups to share our posts and events will also be especially important to ensure we can reach as many people as possible.

You will need to have a good knowledge of managing Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube aswell as setting up ad campaigns. Although knowledge of IT is a given, it is essential that you listen to instructions and update our pages with the correct information in a timely fashion. Having good written English is also essential. We are looking for someone who can commit to this role long term to ensure consistency so this may not be suitable for students.

Part of this role will be about creating content for facebook and twitter using our graphics packages we have curated over the years. We also need someone to take high quality photos we can use for facebook and Instagram as stories or posts to the appropriate hashtags. This role will evolve so we need someone willing to be adaptable and able to think on their feet and take own initiative to keep our pages relevant and upto date.

As part of your application, we will need you to complete our registration forms and sign our agreements. You will be required to provide two references along with a copy of your CV, any training certification for safeguarding, first aid and manual handling etc. We will also put you through an enhanced DBS check if you don’t already have one.

If you are interested, please complete the form below.

Gardeners

Part time Volunteer position x 10

Thanks to the hard work of our current volunteers, we have dug over and replanted our organic borders with flowers and a range of vegetables we grow for the use of our cookery sessions during the year to make meals for disadvantaged families and young people. We are now looking to restart our garden club and new therapeutic greenhouse project to encourage young people to come outside and enjoy our outside space. To do this we need as many volunteers as possible.

We are currently looking for willing volunteers to come down weekly to help maintain and water our garden and ensure the courtyard and greenhouse stays clean, tidy, and safe.

There are no requirements for this role and would be a great position for young or old, abled, or disabled. As long as you are reliable and enjoy gardening and don’t mind getting your hands dirty.

If you are interested, please complete the form below.
